Aliyah

I was born and raised in Toronto, where my early passion was in the performing arts. I sang throughout my life, became a triple threat in school, and played several instruments—including clarinet, trumpet, French horn, and piano—for over 15 years. Though music was my passion, I realized it wasn’t my purpose and chose to pursue a new path after high school.

I spent time exploring different jobs before discovering my true calling in veterinary medicine. My lifelong love of animals and curiosity for science—fueled by visits to the Zoo and Science Centre—naturally drew me to the field.

Starting as a veterinary receptionist three years ago, I soon trained as an veterinary assistant and later joined the Rosedale Moore Park Veterinary Clinic, where my interest in surgery and continuous learning has deepened. This experience has confirmed my goal of becoming a board-certified veterinary surgeon.

Outside of work, I hope to travel and explore the world beyond Canada.
