Kira

Kira joined the team at Rosedale Moore Park Veterinary Clinic as a Veterinary Assistant in January 2025. Originally from the Cayman Islands, she relocated to Canada in 2024 and has been enthusiastically embracing both Toronto’s vibrant energy and its very different climate.

Her passion for animal care began through her work in wildlife rehabilitation, where she worked closely with parrots. Although she loves animals of all kinds, Kira has a particular soft spot for senior small-breed dogs—especially dachshunds—thanks to her own beloved companion, who lived to the remarkable age of 18.

Outside the clinic, Kira enjoys creating and maintaining aquascapes, caring for her ever-growing collection of plants and terrariums, and exploring Toronto through long walks and hikes as she continues discovering all the city has to offer. She is also a graduate of the University of San Francisco (Class of 2017).
